Cries Of a Young Heart

I wrote this poem cuz i wanna follow my dreams but living in Pakistan, it's so hard cuz it's not about who YOU wanna be, it's about what people want you to be.

Lock me up, throw me away
Chain me down, get your way.
But what’s in me, it’ll never die
My heart won’t stop beating,
No matter whatever you try,

Beating my young blood
That feeds my mind
Ideas you don’t want
To come to life.
And I won’t cry.

Because I know you’re weak
And you’re scared to feel
That you know you’re done
Your time has fled.
So give me what’s mine, my time

Mine to rule, mine to hold
This life is mine, my own show.
And I’m the star of it
So you’ve got to go.
Goodbye!

But mind it, I’m not dumb.
I know it’s tough
In my cocoon I won’t succumb.
And I know what’s right.
I know what’s wrong.

So have faith, and free me
Let me be who I want to be.
And you’ll see me win
You’ll be proud of me
When I will truly LIVE my life!
