To Smile

You sowed it in the storms
And still fed it your tears.
Crying by this seed
You spent your nights.

Giving roots to itself,
While your life crashes,
It grows, giving hope
And bursting with life.

If only you had waited.

But it won't be here,
If you didn't cry.
You couldn't taste the shade
If you didn't try.

And now you can smile.
