Here's How You Need to Go With Your '13 Fall/Winter Wardrobe

Fall is just around the corner, in fact, where I am, it's just two or three weeks away. So I think it's time to start stocking up on my winter wardrobe and here's the trends for this fall that you just need to have and sport.

Go Tartan:-

As you can see, Eddie Redmayne at the GQ Men of the Year Awards is rocking this plaid suit from Gucci. SImiliary, it would be a good chance to bring out your plaid shirts to wear to the office this fall.

Plus, I'm in love with this trend, I have a whole post dedicated to it. You can check out how to go with plaid/tartan here.

Animal Prints:-

Specifically leopard.

While this trend may not take flight here in Pakistan (like so many other trends!), you can still manage by wearing a neckerchief in Zebra print, or sporting a pocket square in cheetah print. You can wear animal print accessories. How about a tie?

On how to go with animal print this fall, I had reblogged this post from my friends at Attire Club. You can check it out here.

One cool print would be a Dalmatian one.

Grey:-

I never grow old of this color. While there are so many conventional ways to go with it, why not opt for ways that make you look cooler. Mismatched and contrasting lapels are a thing this fall, so why not go with that? While I will never let go of my grey skinnys, there's also a thing called having a versatile wardrobe. If you don't have a grey suit, go and buy one now!

You can go with grey sweaters/jumpers. There are really good tribal prints sweaters out there that you can do with. You can also wear grey accessories like belts or watches. It's time to take out that old steel watch you have and show if off. I'm a killer for old vintage stuff, so this grey trend is definitely the ting!

Bold Colors:-

Let's make one thing clear; either your top is the one that stands out, or your lowers do that for you - you CANNOT have both the pieces in bold colors. Orange is a thing this fall, so why not try wearing orange sneakers or an orange upper to keep things warm for you. It's totally in the spirit of winter with oranges everywhere on the fruit carts, it's a fun color. Red, on the other hand, is the ultimate pop colors' king. So adding that to your wardrobe would do wonders. Be it a red shirt, or red pants, just have red.

Tom Ford's collection was a bit too much for me. I know floral is the rage, but I can never learn to love it, I think. Anyways, this look seemed the best from the whole collection

Neon is a trend the girls are having loads of fun with while guys on the other hand are being deprived to go about this trend in their own way. Now's your chance. I'm totally digging the neon pants of Waleed Zaman from PSFW. He makes neon look effortless. So take a page off the coloring book and add a burst of color. With all the dry leaves and crispiness everywhere, this will sure add to the look!

I'm thinking yellow, blue, green and red.

Biker Jackets:-

Ok. Now. My first reaction was : Don't panic. We will find us one here. And while I know it's not the regular biker jacket that dominates the market here, some of the stores make custom jackets. So yay! You can get one made. Or you can try very hard and hunt down one for yourself in some of the shady places of the market, the easiest way will be to get one made. So get yourself one.

And i''m thinking, perk it up with studs. I'm desperately in love with studs nowadays, so having them on a leather jacket is the best way to go with the punk trend that seems to be dominating the world.

For the more simple ones out there, a black leather jacket would do. But please, no over sized ones.

Also, colored jackets out there would also be a much perked up addition to the wardrobe, in case you want leather only, and not the uber cool biker jacket.

Roll-necks/Turtlenecks:-

It''s good. Looks good. I love it. Period.

Military Themed Clothing:-

And the one that tops here is the army boots, I just can't get enough of those. Also, the jackets are so cool. Plus, wearing a thick and big army belt can do wonders with your look.

Be creative with this one, it has the potential to make you stand out.

Daraz.pk is having a great military themes sale at the moment on their website in spirit of defense day. You can avail that offer and stock up from there. Order here.

Burgundy/Claret/Maroon:-

While blue seems to be the color that won't let go (the S/S '14 collections heavily featured blue), Claret is one that made a splash for this fall and I have to say, if you play this color right, it can amp up your look good.

You can get yourself a pair of pants, trousers or chinos in this color and pair it up with a black shirt or vice versa and you're done!

For the Shoes:-

Go bold. Red, blue and neon soles with black leather would look awesome.

Think long boots. Military is the inspiration.

For Jumpers/Sweaters:-

Go with funky knitted sweaters this fall. It's the perfect time to wear those old sweaters your grandma has been knitting for you since ages.

Textured tailoring is in, but combining it in your jackets and sweaters will do great.

For the headgear:-

Think Green Beret from the game Commandos. Yes, go crazy with the berets. Also, please avoid wearing beanies. Not everyone looks good in them, so berets are your go to head gear for this winter.

So what do you think? How will you go about your wardrobe in winter? Share any ideas you have.
