Style Icon: Quaid e Azam M. Ali Jinah

Recently I was discussing with someone over email about how we Sub continental males have been left so confused about our attire and out style that we just don't know how to dress. Surely there are a few men out there with exceptional sense of style out there, who make us all go envious and make us want to up our game, but those kinds of men are so scarce and rare, that we, as a whole, are left utterly confused (more on that confusion later).

But looking back I realize that if there was any one man who I want look up to and want to end up dressing and being like, that would have to be Quaid e Azam. The way he carried himself (never seen him slouch) to the way he spoke, he was a thorough gentleman. And he dressed the part too.

I think if there were ever to be a sartorial example of menswear from Pakistan, that would have to be Quaid e Azam M. Ali Jinnah. His suits, his sherwanis, his ties...they were just brilliantly styled. He could clearly pass off as an Old Hollywood Era mysterious macho celebrity minus the leather jacket. He knew how to wear the wide lapel (take note guys) and the stripes and the checks. And the way he pulled off a long coat, gosh, i can only dream to be like that. Besides that, the eastern staple, the sherwani, he even made that look good on him. Even his shoe game was on point.

So basically everything looked good on him. And he knew how to wear it all too, never a sartorial mess!

Have a look for yourself.

oh, and by the way 25th December is his birthday! Thank you for being the best dressed gentleman Pakistan has ever had!
