World of Poetry on WordPress (Why I Like WordPress Poets)

I am a teenager who does poetry and I blog it sometimes too. It's also a privilege that I have been published numerous times in one of the best and widely read magazines of my country, but most of all poetry has given me a chance to connect with the world in ways i had never imagined i could. WordPress provided me the perfect platform to post my work and share my ideas and as i started blogging, i figured it is not just me who might feel that way but others too. And i assume it's not just the case with poetry, but also the other art forms that are found on WordPress of numerous kinds.

When i started out with blogging, i was so new and so fresh, i had no idea what i was exposing myself to. There was always a fear of plagiarism and it did induce me to not publish my work for sometime but later i thought "What the hell!" and i jumped right into the hot water that bubbled out poetry on the internet. I started getting visitors and those small moments of delight when someone likes your poem and most importantly, takes their time to read and comment on your poem. Oh, and the feeling when you get a subscriber. It provides a person so much encouragement and contentment, it's a feeling of ecstasy not able to be described. So it's so obvious that if the person is taking his time out for you, you must take your time out for him/her. And this lead me to discover the world of poetry and the world where I belonged.

Every click and every poem lead me to discover people that thought like me, people who didn't think like me, but i liked what they thought. Poets who put their heart and souls into each word and then those words turn into a beautiful poem that I adore so much. And I learned so much from every poem that I read, so many ideas, so many transitions of personalities and so many new forms of poetry!!!

I got hooked.

But in the whole process what i most felt was, that i was also once a small little unknown boy who needed a little push from the outside to go and carry on and follow my dreams to keep writing. Now it's my turn to reach out to all those new bloggers who need "that push" to keep dreaming and keep writing :)
