A Peak Into My Blogging Process

Natasah over at Allure by N was talking about her blogging process and provide insight into her blog and how she does it through a virtual tour, and she was kind enough to ask me to explain to you guys how i and my blog work through a series of questions. And here they are

1. What am I working on?

Currently I am working on detailing a lot of posts and figuring out which direction to take with them. I have made a list of all the things I have to blog about in the coming weeks. Apart from that, I am working on a lot of articles for various publications that I write for.

Apart from that, my studies. Becoming a dentist is hard!

2. How does my work differ from others of its type/genre?

With fashion and fashion commentary, one learns a lot about paying attention to detail. One starts implementing this in life over time. So when this change in observation happens, changes in the thought process start happening, and one starts being a better thinker and a better liver.

I think along these lines and maybe that's how my work differs from a lot of other blogger/fashion writers out there. I think and think and think a lot about what I'm going to write on and how i'm gonna write it. I draw inspiration from my life and if you look closely, you will see that by talking about fashion, i am figuring my own self simultaneously.

3. Why do you write what you do?

Because I like fashion, and I think there's not a lot of work being done on menswear in Pakistan. Sure, you can get the pinterest worthy posts of how-to's but what about depth and detail that comes with a piece of clothing? Somebody needs to dig through the threads and come out with a better understanding of things, and that's what I'm aiming for with my work.

And maybe because of thinking in terms of fashion, i figure out a lot of stuff about life too. Like originality, and being weird for the sake of being weird and not cuz one is. And how people are so different. And existentialism.

4. How does my writing process work?

It involves a lot of thinking. And then I just sit down and write it all in one go. I can't keep writing and writing till the piece is complete. I need a span of 5-6 hours to map out my posts and work on them. Which is hard to find. But once I do, I make sure that I make the most of it. So i plan everything out when I am thinking, and that is where, for me, everything gets sorted out. The rest is just jotting down.

For further tagging, I would like to tag W.A.R.M (We Are Ready Made) and Purushu Arie to learn more about them and their blogging process.
