Celebrity Crush: Zara Peerzada (AND HER INTERVIEW)

Back when I went to the PFDC Sunslik Fashion Week (my review here, spotting here, and my poetic version of PSFW here), I sat in the third row with celebrity media personnel. Well, I knew all of them by name but I didn't know them by face. So when it was time for the 2nd half of the show, it was packed, so packed that I had to share seats with someone. And THAT someone happened to be a sweet girl (or baji, in my case) who was commenting on the clothes along with me like I was a long known friend and we hit it off pretty well. And man, she was wearing an awesome dress (or skirt I think).
And that was that.
Then I stumbled upon her picture from that day and I was shocked to find out I had been sitting with Lahore's very own "it girl" and she was so approachable, like in Gossip Girl how everyone thinks Serena is so untouchable, but she is not. She reminded me just of Serena. The way she dresses and her attitude. She's sweet and spunky! A combination that is very rare to come across.
She's being dubbed the Cara Delevingne and Alexa Chung of Pakistan!
Did you know she was the featured model in Bilal Khan's video for his song Kabhi gham Na Aey? She was also featured in the Porche Style Diaries!
So then I started tweeting out to her and check out my disbelief when she replied back! AND followed me! So well, a few conversations later, and a lot of stalking on instagram (check out my Pakistani Clebrity Instagrammers worth stalking here), she finally agreed to this 19 year old boy to give her an exclusive candid interview that speaks about her. But Let me tell you, I had to wait a long long time to hear back from her, and the wait was worth it.

1. If you could be one fruit, which one would it be? (Please don't say strawberry *fingers crossed*)?
My sister thinks I’d be a Lychee. I think I’m a Nectarine.
2. What's your ideal alien (like how do you imagine aliens to be)? I believe vampires are aliens too. If you do too, then please don't say Edward?
My ideal aliens are from a time long ago, in a galaxy far, far away on the planet Tatooine in the Star Wars Cantina scene.
And Vampires are not aliens; they are of this world (duh) (me-Haseeb-blushing here of embarrassment, I'm the only one who thinks that!).
3. Do you have a fandom mania? Is it Harry Potter? :D
Oh, I just happened to wait 6 hours in line for the midnight release of The Half Blood Prince at Barnes and Nobles… I think you could call me a fan. I think.
It’s not just Harry Potter… Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings… you name it, I’ve read it, watched it, lived it. I was a nerd long before I was a model.
I LOVE HARRY POTTER TOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe?
Katharine Hepburn - “Death will be a great relief. No more interviews.”
4. Do you watch Vampire Diaries? If yes, then Damon or Stephan? If no, then, well, WATCH IT!!!
I think it’s one of the worst shows I have ever seen,terrible script, even worse acting and production. Sorry, I’m from a film family just plain pretty doesn’t roll with me. Haha, I think Damon and Stephan are too into each other to be liked.
5. Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks the Mona Lisa is ugly :P even though it's great art(is it?)
Well, I haven’t had a chance to go and meet her but I don’t think beauty was ever the point. Who am I to say what is great art? I wouldn’t know. Art is defined by how and what it makes you feel, I guess she’s confounded quite a few people, and that’s no small achievement.
6. Oh My god! Did you hear? Taylor Swift got a new boyfriend :D
No, thankfully I don’t know many people who keep tabs on Taylor Swift. Yay! More crappy music for us!
7. Back to reality. How was the paragliding experience? I'm sure that's what it's called, right?
Someone once asked me “Is there anything you can’t do?” and I answered, “Fly.” I literally flew into the sunset. It is an unparalleled feeling (especially when you’re fighting your fear of flying and heights).
8. Tell us your ultimate summer playlist in five songs.

9. What's that movie you watch while curled up in bed with a tub of ice cream, full on geek mode in your pyjamas, your best romcom?
Bridget Jones’s Diary and anything Wes Anderson.
