The Men at the 2015 Golden Globes Awards: The year of the Bow Tie
While all the eyes are usually on what the women wore and who wore what, men get sidelined usually when it's an event as big as the Golden Globes. Yes, most men usually go for the tux, but some men take risks and wear ensembles that not only make them look great, but also make them worth standing out.
While a lot of Globes were given away, the winning trend off the red carpet sure seemed to be the Bow Tie. Almost every other actor was seen sporting the bow. Not that we're complaining. It sure looked good.
Here are my top picks from the 2015 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet: Mens Edition
Matt Bomer in Ralph Lauren
The blue is a perfect color to replace the mundane of black. It's subtle and looks good. Plus, the bow tie and the white pocket square make the look come off more polished. His shoe game is on point.
Eddie Redmayne in Gucci
So even if it's black, velvet is a very hard fabric to pull off in a suit, but luckilt, Eddie knows what looks good on him. Apparently, bow ties are everybody's thing. And just like Matt, he's sporting a white pocket square too.
David Oyelowo in Dolce & Gabbana
When it's an event as glamorous as the Golden Globes, it's ok to add a little shine. In this shimmery blue suit, David not only makes his look be the spotlight itself, but he looks good. And that's all that matters.
Alan Cumming in Calvin Klein
Now Alan is one adventurous red carpet player. Along with the nude suit, what really pops out from the whole look is his footwear. SNEAKERS to the Golden Globes. Hell yeah!
Jared Leto in Lanvin
White. Yes. With black lapels. And the flower. And the man bun. Just perfect.
Clive Owen in Giorgio Armani
Another velvet look. With the chocolate colored buttons and tie, this look sure wins for attention to detail.
Wes Anderson
Wes won for Budapest which is one of my fav films. And he decided to add a little bit of color to the mix of mundane of black (just like his films) by wearing a
Adrien Brody
All black. Like i always say, when in doubt, wear black; or always. It's one color that never disappoints when chosen for H2T (head to toe).
