Manish Bansal's Pastel Wonderland
When I was going through the instagram updates for Lakme Fashion Week earlier this spring, I knew at once that Manish Bansal's collection was one I would fall in love with. So i contacted Manish to send me the pics of his collection and he was kind enough to send over a lot of images.
The thing i liked about the collection was that its was liberal with its use of feminine tones, while keeping the masculinity intact. It reminded me of spring, a colorful one where i would get lost in my dreams. And the use of signs off a deck of cards are reminiscent of the whole Alice in Wonderland phenomenon.
I think it is very important for clothes to represent a story, or a feeling, and when that gets conveyed through the looks, it comes out as a beautiful collection. While I connected with the collection along the lines of my own interpretation, the gamble aspect of it is so poetic, it's just beautiful.
Moreover, it's the simplicity and softness of the collection that appeals, with a summer air to it. Focus on the accessories. The shoes are so lust worthy
And the man skirt. It's not too overboard too. Just check it out for yourself.
