Once Upon a December with Fahad Hussayn

The concept of good versus evil has always intrigued me. This recent shoot of Fahad Hussayn's bespoke menswear left me feeling like it spoke to me on so many levels.

When I asked Fahad what it was about, it was about embodying the edgy demon inside every man. It's a fantasy world Fahad has created through his clothes, and it very well reflects in the way his shows go down. But with a shoot like this, one gets more creative expression. What this shoot reminds me of the cartoon film Anastasia. It's about this lost Russian princess who goes on the journey to find her rightful place at the throne. Why it reminds me of that is the whole cold, wintery, fantasy feel of the pics. The model could very well be a soldier in the film. Maybe it's the train tracks that add the effect but the whole vibe is very dark, beautiful, and granite.

It's like the soldier is conflicted if he's on the side that saves Anastasia, or on the side that wants her to lose the throne.
