Emraan Rajput's Vision of Military Fashion

Everyday of our lives, in Pakistan, we are wondering so many things and so much is happening at the same time that it is hard to let these things go unnoticed. So obviously, these things end up influencing the kind of art coming from this region. You can see it in the pieces our artists are churning out at art exhibits, and you can see it in the poems our writers are writing. Even our novels are not free of the influence.

So naturally, it comes out in Fashion too.

Our military has been ruling the screens forever, and it is inevitable to escape the influence it has had on our culture. So taking this influence to the ramp was Emraan Rajput previous fall with his military themed collection he had shown at Fashion Pakistan Week Autumn/Winter 2014-2015. I made a gif out of it here.

What I liked about this collection was the simplicity of the wholeness. Of course, it seemed a bit dull and boring, and maybe it isn't exactly one would expect military fashion to be (no punk infused references maybe?) but this whole collection comes to fit the normcore wave of clothing as well; simple and understated. Except with a theme.
