Top Menswear Looks from Fashion Pakistan Week

Here are my top picks from Fashion Pakistan Week

AMIR ADNAN

I have bashed enough in my last post about the menswear at Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week. And I think that while the occasion might not have been appropriate for Amir Adnan to show his collection as it was more suited for bridal weeks, doesn't mean it wasn't a bad collection. It was one of the best eastern menswear collections Pakistan has seen on the ramp in a really long time. Here are my top looks from Amir Adnan's collection

ABDUL SAMAD

I think with Abdul Samad's collection, it was hard to find a solid ground. But some of the work was really good. Apart from that, i was really happy to see innovative menswear in Pakistan. While men will be inclined to go the safe way, designer stepping up to change the game is a good thing. Sure, it will take time to change trends, and for designers to adapt to them in a good way, but it's encouraging to see trends changing. Kudos to Abdul Samad for taking the step towards change.

HSY

I think HSY is an amazing menswear designer. I remember tweeting him once that he should come out with mens only collections more and he said "No, thank you, I'm fine as I am." With this collection, i just wish he could bring out the best in him. It just left me feeling like something was missing. It was good, but maybe too safe. But I'm sure it will sell like hot cakes. Everything HSY makes has the tendency to turn to god.

Wardah Saleem for JAFFERJEES

I think Wardah did an amazing job with the prints on the two menswear looks sent down the runway. The shirt in this one is awesome
