Go East this Eid
WIth eid just around the corner, it's high time we bought our Kurtas. By we, I mean us guys. So thank god that The News people didn't miss us out on their eid shopping issue of instep.
But what's better is that Republic by Omar Farooq has come out with their Eid collection just in time featuring Ismail Farid, Adnan Pardesy, Akif Mehmood, Fahad Hussayn, Nomi Ansari and a lot more really good menswear designers, and I'm loving the shoots for it (is it a design emporium revival on-the-way?). Shot by by the very talented Abdullah Haris and styled by TONI & GUY, this campaign brings out the best moments of eid and is very nostalgic. But more than that, the clothes are awesome! Then we have the designers! I really liked Nomi Ansari's Eid collection.

All in all, we have a plethora of designer wear to choose from, designer menswear is catching up with market and this just does not limit to these stores. If you're a creative soul like me, maybe you can design your own eid ka kurta. or qameez, if you like that.
Trend to beware of: This season has been all about simplicity. So opt for that. The embroidered kurta is so 2011. So please take care of that.
