Milan Fashion Week Menswear: LooksILike from Day 2

Bottega Veneta's S/S 2014 collection was a tad bit too dull for my taste. Though the tailoring was great and the suits were well made, too much of grey might have been too much. Though we did see green and purple make appearances, but they were dark colours. Nonetheless, it was a good collection, that managed to keep itself together and not splatter everywhere.

Trussardi's S/S 2014 collection was all about using the leather. I loved the jumpsuits and the hues of white, with brown and maroon. It was a beautifully executed and a cohesive collection that impressed me. This look is just the perfect one with the patetrns and the contrast of colors!

Iceberg's S/S 2014 collection was a perfect blend of young and dull. It's actually a a young take on dull. The colors are very dark throughout the collection, but it plays in the favor of it, because what we get is a collection a fashionable young soul will go for. It's for the dark, emo fashionista who's not trying hard to be noticed. Not too innovative, but wearable. I love the jacket in this look!

I will not talk about Vivienne Westwood's S/S 2014 collection for men. Coming from the Indian Sub-continent myself, I know how the influences she was looking for were misinterpreted. Since she herself claimed she's never been here. Still, it was an aesthetically pleasing collection. Love the take on the tartan print.

Missoni's S/S 2014 collection was an ode to Africa. very mundane. They might have paid a lot of attention to the stitching and the details, but overall, the collection was very boring. I like this look though. It's somehow funkier than the rest.

While I understand I'm still to understand what "great fashion" means, I did like the theme of the Prada S/S 2014 collection. It's very dark and poetic. And i'm loving the prints. It's a good collection, but not meant for me. I think. I love the moon in this look. So Smaurai Jack!
